Student must live in Vermont.

Student must have lost a parent to cancer or complications relating from the disease OR have a parent who has survived cancer or is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. 

Student must be a High School senior.

Student must plan to enroll full time at a college or university or already accepted for enrollment in a college or university.

Student must complete the scholarship application.

Student must submit one letter of recommendation from a non-family member.

Student must provide a current photo of themselves.

Student needs to sign photo release form.

All applications will be reviewed by the Mahana Magic Scholarship Committee. The winner will be chosen based on the positive impact they have on those around them and strength in the face of adversity. All selections by the committee are final.

Students who are awarded the scholarship will be notified no later than May 1, 2023. 

Any attempt to falsify claims in an applicant's story will result in immediate disqualification.
